Library Cards

Beyond borrowing physical books and DVDs; the many benefits of library membership include access to online resources and classes, ebooks and downloadable magazines, hotspots and snowshoes you can borrow for free, discounted or free passes to many local museums, and the assistance of our amazing staff.

To get a SAILS library card, come to the library with identification that contains your current name and address. Barring any problems, you can get your library card in a matter of minutes. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent and must have their application signed by a parent or guardian.

Come in to fill out an application, or complete the online registration. Replacements for lost cards costs $2.00, but is free in September for Library Card Signup Month.

Your personal SAILS library card is good at 70 libraries and branches in 39 communities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.

Please be sure to bring your library card with you each time you visit the library.
