Sonshine Yoga sessions
Sonshine Yoga and Yogi Lisa are back! REGISTER for one of two classes available:
- Thursday, November 7 at 4:45 PM for ages 5-9. This is a 45-minute class in which children will enjoy exploring yoga poses, breathing exercises, songs, games, and stories. Activities will help children to grow physically, socially, and emotionally while learning yoga principles which foster cooperation, compassion, and healthy living. Children will work on strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and cooperation during this energizing, yet relaxing, yoga practice. The theme of this class is Gratitude!! A Gingerbread themed class will be held on December 5. The November class is FULL unless there is a cancellation. Please register for the December class!
- Thursday, November 21, 4:45 PM Girl Power Yoga for ages 8-12. This is an hour long energizing and uplifting class for girls which will include active yoga and mindfulness instruction to inspire physical and emotional development. Let’s develop a strong sense of self and work on developing friendships, confidence, and self-esteem. There will be a make and take project as part of this class. There will be another class held on December 19.
It is recommended that students bring a yoga mat or towel and a water bottle to each session. Space limited to 8 children in each class. Register through the library’s Event Calendar
