Read to Amos

Children of all ages are invited to Read to Amos the greyhound.  Amos and his handler Ms. Holly  are a certified team for Therapy Dogs International.  They are also part of a Children Reading to Dogs program called “Tail-Waggin’ Tutors”. Amos, a 7-year-old greyhound, is a good listener, and children can make a five-minute appointment to read to him.

Bring in a short book from home, or select one from the library.  Each child will sit with Amos and Holly, his handler, and read them their selected book!  This is NOT a group reading event.  Every child registered has a private session with Amos. Children 2 and under can sit with their grown-up and read to Amos together. PreSchoolers can choose to sit with their grown-up and read together, or sit alone and “read” to Amos as best they can!

Registration is required.  Only 6 spots available per sessions.

For more information, visit the Events Calendar, or call us at 508-763-8600.

Stay tuned for “Reading with Amos in the Gazebo” in July and August!
