School year programs:
Story Times
Preschool and Toddler Storytimes run during Fall (Oct. - Nov.), Winter (Jan. - February), and Spring (March - April). Each program runs for about 7 weeks.
Plumb Pie Storytime is our Preschool program for children ages 3-5, which takes place on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Book-a-roos for Twos is for two and three-year-olds and their parents or caregivers, and is held on Fridays at 10:30 a.m

Plumb Library story times consist of interactive book read-alouds, fingerplays, action rhymes, songs, simple crafts, and a small snack.
Registration is REQUIRED. These are NOT drop-in programs!
To register, please come into the library or call 508-763-8600.
Preference is given to Rochester residents. All non-residents will be put on a
waiting list, and will be called if space is available.

With the help of the Friends, we try to hold a special free kids program each month. Check the Event Calendar for details.
Junior Friends
If you are ages 9 - 15 and are interested in working with other kids your age to help the library and our community, contact Ms. Lisa at the library. We meet quarterly. Pizza is involved. our next meeting is Saturday, Oct. 15 at 12:oo noon.
Library Cards! Any child can get a library card! (Parents need to fill out the application for children under age 13.) Kids love having their own library card, and finding books for themselves. Have your own Storytimes at home! Books on CD/tape, DVDs, and videos are all available with a valid library card. Come in to fill out an application, or click HERE.
September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. Sign up during September and receive a prize. Replacements for lost cards are free in September only. (Normal replacement cost is $2.00)
Tumblebooks! TumbleBooks is an online collection of animated, talking books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love! Checkout the SAILS library network subscription to Tumblebooks via the Plumb Library homepage, via the link http://www.tumblebooks.com/library/asp/home_tumblebooks.asp.

Summer Programs:
Summer Reading Program: For kids, teens, and adults June - August. For 2012, the theme will be "Dream Big - Read" for children; "Own the Night" for teens; and "Between the Covers" for adults. The program will include weekly activities and performers. Evening storytimes for families and Toddler storytimes may be held if there is enough interest. More information in the spring!
