Rochester Grange Committees
Rochester Grange committees work within our Grange and also in conjunction with the State Grange. Listed below are some of the projects carried out by these committees.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE
THE STATE DEAF AWARENESS COMMITTEE
This committee works to help support the Beverly School for the Deaf's Parent/Infant/Toddler Program, and has many materials to aid anyone interested with or who has a hearing problem. This year, 3rd graders were given bookmarks with the American Sign Language on them. Posters for the class rooms and bookmarks for the remaining students and teachers throughout the school have been requested and will be delivered. In the past, books have been given to the public library as well.
THE DICTIONARY PROJECT - WORDS FOR THIRDS
Rochester Grange is proud to sponsor this wonderful project by donating books to the Rochester Memorial School. We have now given dictionaries for the past three years to the 3rd grade classes, and for one year to the 6th grade. This year, 100 books were presented to students and teachers. We hope to continue this project and hope that the students use and enjoy their new books for years to come.
If you would like to help in any way with these or other projects, please call our Secretary at (508)-295-8908.

Junior Grange is for youngsters between 4 years and 13 years of age. In our area we have the Southeastern Junior Grange which meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 2:00 PM at the Acushnet Grange Hall, North Main Street, Acushnet, Massachusetts. Fun and educational activities are held. If you have a child who might be interested in the Junior Grange please contact Caroline St. Don at 508-763-2795.

The Agriculture and Environment Committee works with the State Department of Agriculture, the Heifer Project International, and with Mass AG in the Classroom. Mass AG is a non-profit organization working with schools and teachers throughout the state. Rochester Grange has donated an agricultural video from Mass AG to the Memorial School, which we hope has been useful to them.
