Mad Science Workshops

Thanks to  the Rochester Lions Club, Mad Science is back at Plumb Library for 3 weeks of their fun and exciting hands-on workshops  supporting the  Build a Better World theme!  Using a technique of hands-on, inquiry based, FUN learning, Mad Science goes wherever elementary school aged children congregate to spark an interest in science!

Register for one, or all three, of these brain building activities:

Wednesday, July 12, 4:30-5:30: Super Structures – a fantastic introduction to some of the concepts, terms and ideas behind engineering and architecture!

Wednesday, July 19, 4:30-5:30:  Mighty Machines –  Learn about levers, pulleys, wheels and more! Make your own mini-catapult to take home!

Wednesday, July 26, 4:30-5:30: Black and Blue Oceans – Learn about the ocean as an ecosystem. Devise and test clean-up techniques in a mock oil spill

SPACE IS LIMITED AND REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  KIDS MUST BE AGES 5 – 12 ONLY.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  THESE ARE SCHOOL AGED WORKSHOPS!
